Planning decisions are the responsibility of Dover District Council.
St Margaret’s Parish Council is a consultee on every planning application. Planning applications are discussed at each monthly meeting. Please check the agendas and minutes to determine when the application was considered.

The easiest way to search for a planning application on Dover District Council website is to follow the process outlined below
Type the following web address into your computer search engine
https://publicaccess.dover.gov.uk/online-applications/search.do?action=simple&searchType=Application
Simple Search
- Indicate if you want to search for an application or appeal.
- Select the applicable status- All or current or decided.
- Enter a keyword, reference number (Do not enter the Dov/prefix when searching) or a single line of the address.
- Click search
The summary of the planning application will appear or alternatively there will be a list of applications to choose from. The summary includes the address details and the proposal.
Comments Includes the public comments on the planning application. The Parish Council comments if any, will be in consultees responded.
Documents Will include the application form, drawings of the existing and the proposed, location maps and other details
