On the road to a safer district
Dover District Council recently released this press release about parking.
“Residents in Dover District are being reminded to consider other people when they park their cars.
People are reminded to consider road access for public transport, refuse trucks and emergency service vehicles in residential areas and to think about how they are parking, to ensure that access is allowed for larger vehicles. Every second counts in an emergency and delays to fire engines, ambulances or police cars could cost lives!
Car owners are also reminded to think about pavement access for everyone, including people with disabilities, and people with young children in prams or pushchairs.”
