The Spirit of St Margarets (AKA Bay Hill Boat)
As many of you would have read in the Parish News and also noticed if you have passed by, The Spirit of St Margarets has headed off into the sunset after 13 years. With the decks creaking and the gunwale decaying, it is time to say goodbye to The Spirit of St Margarets.
After 13 years, the team have decided to head off into the sunset too and we have to say a massive THANK YOU to the team who have looked after and decorated the boat for all these years. It is truly a talking point for locals and visitors and has been photographed on so many occasions and used in the promotion of the village. THANK YOU!
Recognising the enjoyment and pride the efforts of the Boat Team have given to our village, we would not want this to be the end of the Bay Hill Boat. We have been fortunate enough to have found a replacement boat which is currently being lovingly ‘spruced up’ and reinforced, before it is launched as ‘The Spirit of St Margarets II’.
