Drainage Works Taking Place on The High Street – 28th January 2026

Important Notice – Drainage Works & Temporary Parking Restrictions on the High Street

Drainage works will be taking place outside the Smugglers and the Village Shop on Wednesday 28 January.

To allow traffic lights and large support vehicles to arrive and set up safely, temporary parking restrictions will be in place from 7:00am on Wednesday 28 January in the following locations:

Outside the Village Shop / end of Well Lane and layby opposite Knoll Court

These works are planned to take place using traffic lights and without closing the High Street

Please note: Cones may be visible as early as Monday 26 January, but it is essential these areas are completely clear of parked vehicles from 7:00am on Wednesday 28 January for the rest of the day.

Even if you are visiting the shop on Wednesday morning and there is no visible sign of the work starting, please do not park in the restricted areas. Large drainage and support vehicles are expected to arrive. Any obstruction could cause congestion and delays, including to school buses and normal morning traffic through the village.
