Great British Spring Clean April 2025

​A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in yesterday’s litter pick in St Margaret’s. It was truly inspiring to see residents of all ages come together to make a meaningful impact on our community. With an impressive turnout of 30 volunteers, we collected 17 bags of litter, showcasing the power of collective action.​

Highlights of the day:

A young man, dressed in a suit, joined the effort, demonstrating that community spirit knows no dress code.​

Challenges faced:

Among the litter, a soiled nappy was found—a reminder of the importance of proper waste disposal to keep our environment clean.​

Special appreciation goes to AJ, Mitchell, and the DDC Community Roots Van—affectionately known as the “Litter Limo”—for their invaluable support. Your contributions were instrumental in the success of this event.​

This effort was a wonderful way to conclude this year’s Great British Spring Clean Campaign, demonstrating our shared commitment to maintaining the beauty of St Margaret’s. Thank you once again for your dedication and community spirit.​
